I remember you telling us all about the year with the magically transformed Christmas tree. What a treat! I can just picture the smile on Grandpa's face when he saw all his kids' awe at his handiwork.
Do you remember when you covered teh livingroom with sheets one year for us? I remember I could have peeked many times but I would not let myself, I wanted to be suprised. I've always had fond memories of Christmas morning, you always made it special for us.

I remember Christmas just like you! Your discription was right on and it made me homesick for 9th West and the good old days. My sadest Christmas memory is the year I snooped and found what I thought was my Christmas present hidden in Mom and Dad's closet weeks before Christmas. It was a copper belt which was all the rage in those days and I was so excited. Imagine my shock and sorrow on Christmas morning when Kathy got the belt and I got a black quilted skirt with rinestones all over it I hated that skirt but mom loved it and I'm sure she had made it for me so I wore it to church every week for months. I felt like it was too fancy for church but it served me right for being such a little jerk! One of my favorite parts of Christmas was going to Hunter Hardware and looking at all the dolls. Oh, boy, that brings back wonderful memories. Thanks Barb, for sharing.
